What is the Pacific Conservatory of Music?
Pacific Conservatory of Music (University of the Pacific)is a historic music education institution based in Stockton, California, USA. Founded in 1878, it boasts a long tradition as one of the oldest professional music conservatories on the West Coast.
Undergraduate and graduate school combined11 degree programsThe program offers a wide range of courses, including performance, vocal music, composition, music education, music therapy, jazz, music industry studies, and management. Students have ample opportunities to receive individual instruction in small groups, and the program is characterized by its practical learning.
More than 150 recitals, concerts, and performances are held annually, and collaborations with both faculty and artists from within and outside the university are frequent. Through these performance opportunities, students can gain a wealth of practical experience.
Many majors require auditions for performance and technical skills before admission, and we have a large international student body. We have created a high-quality learning environment that respects diversity.
