Temporary Suspension of Mail to the United States|Notice Regarding Changes in Customs and Regulations

Temporary Suspension of Mail to the United States Due to Changes in U.S. Customs and Regulations

On July 30, 2025, the U.S. government issued a presidential order titled "Suspension of Duty-Free Treatment (De Minimis) for All Countries" affecting mail sent to the United States.

This executive order states that postal items containing goods imported for consumption purposes (taxable postal items) will have the tax exemption measures suspended and will be subject to customs duties starting from August 29 of this year.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced new guidelines regarding the elimination of de minimis on August 15, 2025, requiring carriers to pay customs bonds and prepare customs declarations.
However, the specific procedures that carriers and postal entities in various countries should implement remain unclear, creating an extremely difficult operational situation.

Therefore, starting from Wednesday, August 27, 2025, we will temporarily suspend the acceptance of postal items addressed to the United States (small packages, parcels, and EMS (goods)) that contain the following contents, similar to other postal entities in various countries.

  • Gifts between individuals with a value exceeding 100 US dollars
  • Products intended for consumption
