Until it's done

The clay is packed into a small mold and bisque fired, then the lapis lazuli vest and gold pattern are painted on. The facial expression is hand-painted, and the cheeks are gently colored with a tiny airbrush. After coloring, the rabbits are glazed and fired at high temperatures to create a glass-like transparency and luster. The finished rabbits are then polished with a soft cloth, inspected individually, and shipped in a special box.
